Javier García-Rivas is currently the Center for Social Epidemiology and UCI's Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) Project Manager for our 2-year study on work and obesity in firefighters, funded by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention/National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (CDC/NIOSH).
As Project Manager he is responsible for contacting subjects, scheduling study subject appointments, data entry and management, maintaining the regulatory documentation including study documentation binders and electronic files, IRB application approvals, protocol modifications, annual IRB renewals, adverse event reporting and organization of consent translation and approvals, scheduling study team meetings and Advisory Committee meetings, producing progress reports for Principal Investigator to be reported at study team meetings and for annual progress reports.
