On January 30, Partnership for a Heart-Healthy Stroke-Free Massachusetts held their Third Annual Educational Conference entitled "Stress: The Forgotten Risk Factor, Applying Public Health Approaches to Reduce Stress in Healthcare, Worksite and Community Settings". The purpose of the conference was to recognize environmental stressors and how one’s responses to stress can lead to chronic diseases, develop intervention strategies to prevent or reduce exposure to stress and its harmful effects, and identify resources to help address stress as a risk factor in current chronic disease prevention efforts.
